BitterSweet

5 weeks ago my grandma parks passed away. she was 5 days away from turning 87 years old. i was very close to her as i did grow up living by her and she has always been involved in my life. i was able to go to arizona for the week and be there for the funeral. it was a bittersweet time as we said good-bye to her. i was able to see lots of family that i haven't seen in a long time and be there for my grandma. she lived a long, wonderful, faithful life and even though i will miss her tremendously, she is with my grandpa now, who passed away 15 years ago. i took a few pictures while i was there...

this is a picture i wanted next to the bouquet that was on her casset. each flower has a name on it and represents every person in her family. there are a lot of us and this bouquet was beautiful

dinner at claim jumper (dad, mom, sister jessica, bro in law josh, bro tyler, grandma weaver, and sis jordann)

It was definitely bitter sweet for all of us! It was so good to see everyone, but very sad to say goodbye. She was truly everyone's second Grandma! I didn't know her first name for the longest time because all I ever called her was "Grandma Parks". She did live an amazing life. It was soooo good to see you!!!!

Man you don't realize how fat you get until you see pictures of yourself to prove it! Man you can sure tell i've had 2 kids! I'm going to work on that so when we come for Christmas I will be in better shape! It was soo good to have you guys here even though it wasn't under the best circumstances. We love you and miss you already!

Incredible woman! She touched so many lives and loved so many. You are lucky to have been her granddaughter. Love the pictures of all the family.

She was a wonderful person. She even made me feel like part of the family when I was around. She will be missed. I love seeing you girls take your "sisters" pictures. Your family is awesome.
